The Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel

This site uses two small pieces of code. One is the Meta Pixel, from Meta, the company that runs Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. The other is the TikTok Pixel, from TikTok. We use them for two things:

• To count visits, and clicks on our WhatsApp, phone and email links. This tells us if our ads work.
• To show our ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to people who have visited this site.

Each pixel may set cookies in your browser. Meta and TikTok may also get information about your device and what you do on this site, such as the pages you visit and the links you click. Each company uses this under its own privacy policy.

How to say no

You can choose what ads Meta shows you on its ad preferences page.

You can turn off personalised ads on TikTok in its ad settings.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies from other websites, like Meta and TikTok. If you block them, this site still works.

Other data

Our hosting company, Cloudflare, counts visits to this site without cookies. It may also keep normal server logs, like IP addresses and which pages were asked for. This keeps the site running. We do not use these logs to find out who you are.

When you contact us

If you message us on WhatsApp or send us an email, we get what you send: your name, your number or email address, and your message. We use it to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list.

WhatsApp is run by Meta. Email goes through our email company. Your messages are kept on their systems as well as ours, under their rules.

Links to other sites

This site links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook. When you go to one of them, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

How long we keep things

We keep your messages while they help us work with you, or might. Then we delete them.

Your rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you can ask us what data we have about you. You can ask for a copy, ask us to fix it, ask us to delete it, ask us to use it less, or tell us to stop using it. If you said yes to something, you can change your mind at any time.

Asking us to delete your data

Email info@roninmedia.ae with the phone number or email address you used, and tell us what to delete. We will tell you when it is done. To delete a WhatsApp chat, ask us and we will delete our copy. You may want to delete yours too.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything new that collects data, we will update this page and the date at the top before it goes live.
